Owner description: Set in the MIA Park on the Doha waterfront, the museum building stands out as an architectural gem. Once inside, you will see masterpieces of Islamic art, including metalwork, ceramics, jewellery, woodwork, textiles and glass, collected from three continents and dating from the 7th to the 19th century. Entry to the museum is FREE.

From the outside, it might look like one of the best museums you could ever visit. However, the inside was far from that!

MIA is a museum that is probably in the opening process. Their exhibit is so small it strikes an individual as unspecial and "meh". I did not see a thing about Qatar and the heritage of the Gulf and mostly the artifacts are one from the history of Asia and countries such as Iran and Turkey. It was a very big disappointment and I would not have a tour of this museum as a plan for the weekend.

The architectural design of the outside of the museum alone was what initially caught my attention and it continues inside as well. There are a lot of amazing pieces of artifacts and art from around the neighboring countries inside a modern museum. Photos are allowed in most areas but no flash photography at all. There is a snack bar/deli w/ drink for sale as well, but they must be consumed on the first level. Defnitely a must see during a trip to Doha.

It is easy to reach from Doha's city centre. Well-worth visiting, since there are few museums of this kind in the Gulf.

This extraordinary marvel of construction need to be seen by every art and culture lover visiting DOHA. I am sure, this is going to be one of the best site seeing spots in this area in the times to come. Kudos to the curators of the Museum. Exemplary care and very courteous staff...Do not miss this monument. Spend 4 - 5 good hours to enjoy the feast to eyes.

Antiques stationed at the Modern Palace :. Glass walkways and amazing interiors with beautiful view of the bay from the restaurant. Collections portray rich tradition of Islamic past where one would connect to the present times. To deeply explore, understand and feel the life and contribution of Muslim Empire to the world, one should atleast spend two days and it is worthy
