MIA is well organized and though there are much better collection of art across the world, the place is well spread out, and with a few collections so priceless and antique.
Do not miss the place, its also got a well spread out lawn to relax by the Corniche.

“Fine Collection and Impressive Architecture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

My wife and I visited MIA on a recent trip to Doha, and it didn't disappoint. A fine collection of a variety of Islamic inspired artifice dating from the 7th (or 8th) century CE: jewelry, pottery, clothing, books, armor, tile-work, paintings, and of course, calligraphy. They have representative pieces from across the Islamic world, from Morocco & North Africa to Spain, Turkey, Persia, India, and the Arabian Peninsula (East Asian Islam, e.g. Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei were not represented, if memory serves). Their 7th century Koran pages/calligraphy were especially impressive. And as other reviewers have noted: the building itself is a work of art! A cubist interpretation of the Islamic minarette, the told us. It's worth a visit just to behold the architecture! All in all, an interesting and rewarding afternoon. Highly recommend.

Not so much to see but the café had a nice view over the ocean. The food was ok, the museum felt more like a library

The MIA is a must see place to see when you visit Doha. I was not aware of the richness and depth of the culture. The MIA has captured it very well. The restaurant offers a very wide range of food and drinks.
