It's fantastic. I highly recommend it if you have some free time.
I've been to museums all over the world and this probably lands in the top ten for me. Absolutely worth checking out.

“Interisting inside out”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

What caught my attention first is the outside of the building - it looks like a woman in a burka which is quite curious and interesting. The architect is the same as the Louvre pyramid, I. M. Pei. The view of Qatar from the terrace is one of the best in town and I enjoyed taking pictures from there. I only had 30 minutes to go inside but the objects were breathtaking and the English explanation was insightful.

“Excellent! And its free! You have to visit if you're in Doha”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

No entry fee and you can take photos. 3 levels with so many rooms on each floor. Exhibits were really interesting and gave you an insight into what life in the Middle East was like through the years. You must go. Beautiful picturesque views of the corniche from the 2nd floor terrace
