The building itself was amazing as you would expect. We enjoyed walking round and having a good look. Nice shop to buy souvenirs. Cafe area beautiful and prices OK.
We enjoyed a walk round the park outside which was great

Lots to look at. Well worth the trip.
Entry is free, unless you choose to go into the extra "cultural" section..... which is generally not needed.

A fantastic Museum with a permanent excibition of great of Islamic Art from all over the islamic world. The architecture of the muesum building is an attraction itself. Its design by Chinese American architect M. I. Pei.

The exhibitions are interesting and our tour guide was very nice and truly hilllarious (you can ask for a guide (free of charge) if you are 5 or more, I think, but need to call in advance to book). The little shop with crafts based on ornaments and elements you see in the exhibition is grood for original and creative presents. But the true star of this museum is the building itself. It is probably in how the location and views are combined with the architectural design. Designed by I.M. Pei, the man behind such proejcts as the Pyramide of Louvre in Paris and the Kennedy Library in Boston, the building is interesting from outside but it is the interior that really makes it special. With a cafe in the lobby facing the views of the Doha skyline and books on the shelves in the hallways, it certainly worth at least a half-day visit.
