I stayed here last week and it was a great choice as we were working at Education city. It is located close to the torch and viaggio shopping Mall but is remote for anything else.

The rooms are spacious with good air con and a comfy bed. We stayed in a standard double which is fine and the breakfast was as expected with all the usual dishes and an area where omlettes etc are made to order. The shower is good but be careful when closing the doors or you could flood the floor.

I tried the pool most days and found it quiet around 12 noon but not sure if it gets busier later in the day. It is a good pool with seperate jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.

The restaurants we didn't try but the turkish restaurant has great reviews. We had a look in one of the others and the menu looked expensive.

What really stands out with this hotel is how well trained and polite the staff are. They genuinely seem concerned about your stay and do all they can to ensure you are taken care of. I dealt with mr zeid when requesting rooms etc and he really looked after us

Few things that irked us when we were there. I asked for a kettle to boil some water as I like a cup of tea and there is only coffee in the room. The kettle was free buf a tiny pot of milk cost 35QR.
Then we asked for a car to go to the mall around the corner and this is also charged at 35QR. Bearing in mind that a local taxi only costs10QR. The hotel taxi to the airport was quoted at 200QR yet we got a taxi for 60QR.

The hotel caters more for the Arab community than other foreigners but we never found that a problem. The tea room was full of smoke and in my opinion this should be addressed as we would have used it if it was smoke free. I also wish the Arabs would respond with a smile or a hello when you say good morning and will never get used to a blank look in response.

We will definately stay here again when we have more work at education city and the few gripes were far out weighed by the positives.

Room Tip: We had room 264 and 266 facing the aspire park and found them comfortable and quiet.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. Everything was great. AND, our experience in the restaurant Thursday morning put the icing on the cake! Our server George and Eva was a very nice . My family was brought together for a funeral and we were grieving, but George made us laugh. He was very professional and took some time to get to know our family members. Although we were eating from the buffet, Daniel offered to make our Waffles. The restaurant seemed busy that morning, but George showed not one ounce of stress. All the employees at this hotel were great. If you decide to stay at this restaurant, be sure to visit the restaurant on a Thursday morning.

I visited the Victoria lounge today after reading positive reviews but I'm afraid to say I was a little bit disappointed having enjoyed the first pots of teas and we ordered a second lot but we were made to wait for half an hour with no show of our order until we decided to leave, I asked the ladies who were serving why we didn't get our order and they said because the waitress who had taken the order was new so she didn't pass the order, the tea was nice but it was a shame we had to leave without being satisfied, It will be nice if the waiters/waitresses would look out for customers constantly to see if they need a top up, we had to wait a while because none of them were in the vicinity and when one finally emerged we had to call her and didn't get anything in the end. The other thing that made us not to wait further after we had waited for 30 mins with no show is that the room got filled with smoke and I had a child with me, I think the management need to consider non
smoker's needs also. The tea and pastries were amazing but the service was poor.

Dear Prudence M,

Thank you very much for taking the time to review Victoria tea lounge , we are glad to hear that you enjoyed the tea and the pastries.

With regards to your comment about the service, I would like to assure you that we will improve it and the next time you visit us you will be totally satisfied. However, our tea lounge is the only outlet where the guests are allowed to smoke but we will work on creating a space for non-smokers as well.

Looking forward to welcoming you again soon !

My wife and I had the most wonderful stay at the Grand Heritage Hotel. Its a beautiful property though one has to walk distances (which I enjoyed) from Villagio Mall. The rooms are well built with good interior and the heating (very important in winters) was excellent. The food was also quite nice (though a bit on the expensive side). The Room service they provide was excellent . The Hotel Staff are well appointed and courteous .Finally staff is professional especially their Room service attendant Mr arnold. Who helped us for suggesting the menus. They made my stay simply memorable with the Excellent and lavish food on Flavour buffet and prompt service.

The hotel should be rated 5star I really appreciated the excellent service and the cuisine.
The receptionist grace and Ilem are really very adorable.they have a very hospitality nature and overall I would like to thank grand heritage for the service
I really recommend this hotel to travellers

Room Tip: 350 has a good spacious room with balcony

Stayed for a week on business. Mostly very good but small details let it down. Not enough power sockets in my room. Only one small toaster for breakfast. We were hurried out of breakfast because a big group were arriving and not enough other tables. Swimming pool closed to guests one day because of a VIP. Very good overall. Food excellent & comfy beds, general decor great, but they could be better.

Dear Mr Anthony W,

Thank you for allowing us to grow by providing us with your valuable comments. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us though we’ve fell short on some areas.

Your observations on the power sockets and bread toaster have been shared internally with all my colleagues and I have asked the concerned departments to work on improving their areas immediately. I do hope you will allow us to reclaim your confidence on your next visit here at Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa.
