“An ALMOST authentic Souq”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014

The Doha souq is really beautiful, and has a very neat feel to it compared to the rest of the city, and of course, the malls. It is more expensive than other middle eastern souqs (Dubai, Oman, Abu Dhabi),because it is very tourist driven.
There are some really great spots to eat or have tea and shisha, and if you wander enough you'll find the falcon souq which is really cool.
A nice spot to hang out in the evening.

“Excellent place for an evening stroll”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014

I recently visited the Souq Waqif during a business trip in Doha. I was staying at a hotel nearby and made a short walk to visit the souq during sunset. The Souq that stands today is one rebuilt over the old area and the result is a fresh vibrant area that attracts many different people. The souq is full of traditional goods such as spices golds and silks along with the main steet restaurants and coffee shops. I toured around every alley (got lost every so often) and eventually sat down for a coffee and shisha at a small restaurant. This was a unique place to visit and highly recommended if visiting Doha

“Great Place”

Souq Waqeef is an amazing place , it takes you in a trip to the amazing arabian world, the smells, the sights, the food is amazing, but don't forget , if it's expensive doesn't mean that is better, some restaurants offer you great food for a really cheap price , would really recommend if you pass by Qatar

“Best souq I've ever been to!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2014

If you want a chance to step back in time then spend a day or two here! This souq is the best I've ever seen!! We loved the old village feel, shops, restaurants and boutique hotels. There was no harrasment from vendors like the other souqs in the region. This was quite pleasant with several surprises such as the men riding their horses through the souq. Artisans made pottery, carved and sewed. Jewelry was made right in front of us...pearls were strung, bracelets made. It really was impressive.
