The service provided by the hotel staff was always prompt and efficient. All staff were professional, warm and friendly helping with every inquiry, and assisting with days trips, taxi to Syria, and so forth. My wife and I stayed for 10 days, with a break in the middle while we popped over to Damascus for 3 days. The two rooms we used were good size, comfortable, and quiet. The Hotel is located in the Hamra district, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops. The only downside was that my wife did a little too much shopping. Overall, I cannot praise the Hotel enough. Good value too.

A good hotel if you want to stay near the corniche & do some shopping, however it's hard to find shared taxi who will take you back to Hamra & they will always quote silly price. Not recommended for sightseeing. Staffs are helpful but make sure you bargain for the initial price of the hotel taxi

We decided to book at this hotel after reading the positive reviews on trip advisor.I was quite disappointed, the staff were nowhere near as friendly as I hoped, with the exception of Abir. The safe's all in the reception area, which is a hassle.
The location is good if you want to go shopping, or go to the corniche, but to do siteseeing, you do need to arrange something with the taxi. The hotel can put you in contact with a driver with reasonable rates.
The rooms are pretty big, and simple, all views are of a buidling nearby.
We didnt have breakfast, as we thought it was overpriced, but there are lots of Cafes nearby.
On the recommendation of one taxi driver we moved to the Assaha hotel, which is a new and beautiful hotel, but the location isnt great (fine for us, maybe not for others).
On the whole, this isnt a bad place, but I didnt really think it was great value

Booked this hotel room at the very last minute at a departure airport before traveling to Beirut as I was doing last minute plan for a short holiday. Selected this mid-range hotel based on TripAdvisor website reviews since it is one of the top ten hotel in Beirut.
Really appreciated the helpful day shift staffs, all fluent in English, at the front desk where all of them entertained all my questions related to tourist sites and getting around Beirut. As this short holiday was done in the last minute, these information on tourist site come very handy and helpful. Checked out the local travel agents leaflets available from the front desk and the front desk staffs assisted me to arrange and book local tours in Beirut.
Abil the receptionist, whom I get to know her name during check-out was very friendly & helpful. Sorry I didn't get the name of the others in the front desk for day shift.
Since this hotel is located around the busy Hamra street, looking for foods is easy and there is also a supermarket around the corner. Money exchanger counter is located just next door which is very convenient.
Stayed in the Junior Suite where the room is clean, comfortable and big. There is also a small kitchen with fridge & cooker. Only used the fridge to store my drinks as I was always eating outside. The room I used was not noisy from the busy Hamra street as the room is located at the back.
The only negative was that internet is charged by purchasing a prepaid card and breakfast is not provided in my room package.
Overall enjoyed my stay at this hotel where the front desk staffs are friendly and helpful.

Very good central location with everything in a walking distance! The rooms are big and the value for money excellent. Fantastic and very helpful staff. Internet cost something like 10 us dollars for a 3 day stay and they offer free parking (!) to all of the customers. Some rooms might be not so quiet but the beds / pillows etc are very good and you'll sleep fine.

Stayed 3 nights in Casa d'Or - good quality mid-range hotel. No complaints, although free wifi would be nice. Breakfast wasnt included. Location is excellent in the middle of Hamra - shops, restaurants, bars and sea all close-by.

location central in hamra, walking distance from the aub campus and the breach front, also around the corner from all the cafes, restaurants & shops in hamra, service was great, business suite was very roomy, with 2 tv's and a seperate living room and a small kitchen with fridge feezer & cooker, the bathroom could do with updating and was abit mouldy but clean otherwise, breakfast could do with more selction, pretty basic offering
