although this was the hub for beirut, but we had a terrible experience this time. We went hoping to have lunch at "entrocote" only to find that it is closed, and were left with just couple more choice for LUNCH and not coffee.. we had lunch at a very bad restaurant. couldnt have a bite from my escalope that I couldnt cut, the rest of the food was really bad. the whole area is dead, most restaurants and shops are closed. I think the best place left there to have lunch is called al balad.

However, I would not recommend this place anymore. Dont waste your time there, go to Beirut Souks instead or just go to Zaytouna Bay

Very nice wallk between roman ancient structures that shelter fancy restaurants and clothes/gold jewellry stores. Very beautiful people from all around the world in a great environment.

When you walk in the cafe area of Solidere next to the clock roundabout its very nice and romantic for all those love birds. I liked the arghileh at Cafe Place de l'Etoile. In the evening you can see the stars and its just a nice romantic area

In a word, yes. The architecture is beautiful and spans centuries. As a place to spend time eating, drinking, shopping, and sight-seeing, it is hard to imagine a comparable environment.

Nice place to visit. It used to be a much nicer location before the war, right now it is beautiful but does not have any soul. You should visit the churches and mosques and the beautiful shops.
