Description: Bar Tartine is nestled in a charming terrace in the heart of the Achrafieh neighborhood of Mar Mikhael. But there's more to Bar Tartine than meets the eye. What differentiates this restaurant from others is the fact that it has an annexed bakery downstairs, Tartine Bakery, which produces fresh bread, pastries and desserts for both Bar Tartine and walk-in customers throughout the day. Unlike other local hangouts, Bar Tartine has a personality and a flavor of its own. It serves a range of delicious dishes, including steaks, pizzas, salads, and sandwiches made with the different types of bread that come fresh out of the bakery. Whatever your order, you will always be delightfully pleased with the consistency of Bar Tartine's quality, taste and freshness, and in the variety of all of its menu items and options. Want to try an absolute must-have? Then bite into their mouth-watering Camembert burger, or the mellow chocolate cake. The more you taste their specials, the harder it gets to choose a favorite, so fair warning: you might just have to try everything on the menu. Enjoy.

“Great for meeting up and snacking.”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

I had a mid-afternoon lunch with my family and a friend. The service was excellent and prompt. The food was very tasty. We ordered a couple of salads (all were delicious), some pizza's (again delicious) and my cousin ordered a smoked salmon sandwich and that was also great. The only complaints I have were 1. about about how close the tables were together, which in attempting to emulate a french bistro they did a good job and 2. It appears they have closed down the ports for communicating with email via pop3, nerd for your email wont come to your iphone inbox, you have to go log into the website. I assume this is because data is limited and they don't want people to sit and blow through bandwidth. Otherwise, i fully enjoyed myself and will return.

“Great food”

Food was great. Try their Beef-burger, it is really something. Nice atmosphere. Friendly and respectful staff. Both indoor (no-smoking) and outdoor sitting.

The food is tasty but it's not enough. The place is small and you get bothered by other tables.
The starters variety is good.

“Impeccable! Wow!”
Reviewed July 9, 2014 via mobile

Where should I start... Wow!

Well first of all, the place itself is beautiful, very neat and clean, the decor is beautiful and stylish, cosy as well!

Second, the food... Oh my God! Starters: Go with 2-3 friends and order this as appetizers: Ricotta Croquettes (this is what mozzarella sticks are TRYING to be like!), Spinach & Artichoke dip and ask for the Quiche of the day!

Third, salads: summer shrimp salad, quinoa chicken! These two are flawless!

Fourth: the Lean & Mean Burger... My God... Its name says it all!
The Rustik Steak tartine is INSANELY good too! The Seared Tuna Wasabi tartine is very original and very tasty too!

Fifth: the pizzas are all very very good, the pollo, the margherita, the salmon... All of them!

Desserts: they are made by their very own Tartine Bakery, the eclairs are OK, the tarts are all delicious and the Chocolate Mellow Cake is illegaly good! Unbelievable quality and finesse!

Oh they even serve breakfast/brunch! The camembert omelette is amazing! As well as the Labneh Tradition tartine!

Hope you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner there !!!
