“Lively Street in the night.”
Review of Hamra Street

Lively Street that gives you a preview of the famous "Lebanese Nightlife".There are street side restaurants and cafes lining the street with almost all of them serving shisha/hookah.
Since its an upscale street the crowd is also nice.

The most live area of beirut. Cafes, restaurants and nightclubs around the clock. Some middle class shopping as well. Authentic lebanese restaurants all around you, Proximity to Raouche, Zeitona bay and Downtown.

It is the center of Beirut, with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shops, and banks. It's the place to be for entertainment in this part of the city...but it's just an average place to be, overall.

Hamra is a long road with shops and restaurants and not much more. If you want some western cuisine or bad over priced coffee from one of the many chains you find at home then you can get it here, not much else to see.

Although pouring rain interrupted my experience of getting the true vibe along this shopping destination, I still managed to break out the credit cards. And the option of paying in either US or Lebanese money makes exchanging cash a non issue. It's not more than stores and restaurants , but when you wanna shop, it's a great centralized zone to accomplish it all. Attracts locals and tourists alike. Will return soon. Had my favorite store east of the Atlantic.
