“Busy street like Egdware road London”
Review of Hamra Street

Hamra Street
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Its a busy street in the middle of town which stretches a while with shops either side from retail, food , cafes coffee shops bookshops everything.
It's full of traffic and alot of noise !
It's not as smart as other places but has abit more charm and character , it's abit like an edgware road in London than Oxford street.
A few westernised restaurants but head Of down the side streets to little places pubs bars cafes it's very safe noone approaches u!

It is a street full of shops and cafes and some bars.. I did expece it to be far better based on what i heard from my friends about it.. Still it is one of the places you should not miss when you visit Beirut..

It is one of the most living street in Beirut. Full of restaurants and caffes with good shopps. You can buy souvenirs and even go to gym. If you dont like cars and trafic, it is not a place for you.

A very popular shopping street in Beirut. Many shops, cafes and eateries along the street and the smaller streets intersecting Hamra streets. Good for a walk along the street and the area. Crowded by day, less at night, though cafes and restaurants remain busy through the evening till just before midnight.

This is a street full of shops and restaurants. From local to chain restaurants. The same for the stores, some are very nice others very cheaps.
The street is full of taxi and the traffic jam is constant. Less traffic early in the morning and very late at night. The coffee shops don't open before 9 0r 10am.
The nicest hotel on the street is the Crowne Plaza.
