Have heard so much about Gilt and have been wanting to go there for a while - but let me tell you it's worth the wait!
As i walked in,I did not expect that i would come across such a beautifully designed place. You cannot miss the perfection in the details; starting from the vaulted ceiling, the suspended custom made lights, the 3 dimensional wood walls, the Visitors Sculptures (they are sittingon the table next to the DJ section :) loved them) ...
As we sat at the bar, I was triggered to try the food. Well let me tell you that i was amazed by the combination of plates on the menu - it's an assortment of cosmopolitan plates ranging from italian, lebanese, mexican and french cuisine. One good thing is that each ordered whatever he feels like, so everyone was satisfied - All types of cuisines were there! We started with ordering some appetizers, then went straight off to the main courses. We had the Burrata Salad ( a must try, it has some truffle oil my favorite!), the calamari salad, the shrimp carpaccio and the fig birds(delicious)! Then we ordered the Steak Tartare, the Mexican Chicken plate, and the Sea Bass! To top all those up, the waiter recommended we try their new Truffle Dip! this is a must try and a highly recomended one if you're a fan of truffles.
We shared most of the plates so i had to taste every single one of them and until this day i am still craving those flavors. Exquisite!
It has been a while i haven't felt such a satisfaction walking out of a restaurant in town.
I reserved again this week to try the rest and im looking forward to it!
