“craving a salmon?”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

oh-so-yummy salmon with a buttery sauce! I love see food and this is by far the best salmon plate I've had in Beirut. The location is perfect specially for tourists. You can enjoy your meal while having a sea view. I highly recommend it for dinners specially if you want to visit in summer.

“Not bad”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

French bistro at the Zaitoune Bay area. Had dinner a few months back and then Lunch a few days ago.

Everything is well done, service is good. The seating is really uncomfortable though. Try to avoid the booths. They're really annoying. Had the steak and onion soup. OK but not phenomenal. My partner had a goat cheese appetizer, which wasn't bad.

It's the kind of place you can't say anything bad about but just can't love it. I think it may be the seating.

“Nice experience”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

The bistro was the most appealing on Zitunay bay waterfront. We decided to sit inside as it is more authentic. The food is of good bistro quality and typical french. So we enjoyed although we we tired from the trip.

“Exceptional French fare at amazing prices”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

You hear French restaurant and you think: 'snooty waiters and overpriced bread baskets.' Amarres is an exceptional restaurant and I came to know its owned by the same people behind my favorite Beirut bistro- Couqley. Check it out when you're in town. Sit outside when the weather is good.

Oh and try out their brunch, we did that twice during our two week trip.
