“Could be better”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

A great place for biking or simply taking a walk and admiring the beauty of the sea.
Unfortunately, the place is full of people eating, drinking and throwing food everywhere that after some time you get disgusted and leave.

“Beirut style...”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

Anytime you get down here, kids will be on their bikes...old couples will be walking hand in hand and young swaggers will be jogging shirtless..The corniche is a true Beirut experience...grab a book and make it down there around sunset to walk, jog, or just sit and read...make sure to have corn on the cob, a freshly squeezed OJ, roasted peanuts or any other quaint little snack o offer by the wonderful old men who push their carts up and down the corniche...

“A great natural open space for everyone to enjoy”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

One of the really neat aspects of cornishe is that you will find people from all sorts of social and economic classes hanging out in the same area. Sporty and courageous souls will come and jog down the corniche early in the morning, and families and kids will come promenade at sunset, and lovers will come and perch on one of the benches at night. People will bring their chichas and picnic stuff and just hang out there. Seems like it is alive 24hours a day. If you love the sea like I do, it's such a relaxing view.

A great strip by the sea, Its also home to the Raouche, which is one of the nicest Natural Landmarks of Beirut. If you like boat tours and would like to get under the Raouche rocks for a better view or better photo shots, you can take a short feluka boat tour under and around the rocks. But be sure not to pay more than around 10$ per person.

Note: For tourists and those of you with sensitive stomachs, I don't recommend that you eat any of the tempting treats being sold on the streets of Raouche. If you want, you can go to one of the known cafe's or hotels all along the cornishe.
