“I chose my hotel just for this attraction.”
Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

The corniche -people watching paradise. This promenade along the waterfront is where the city converges. From sunbathers to fishermen, joggers and families gathered together for a stroll, the corniche brings all people of Beirut to the waterfront.
As an American I was impressed by how many people greeted me with "welcome to Lebanon." It had the feel of a happy Manhattan New York street. All dimensions of people sharing the simple pleasure of spending some time walking along the waterfront. Peaceful.

“Worth a walk along the Corniche of an evening”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

its a very pleasant walk early evening although at the moment the humidity is quite high still. Great opportunity for people watching and getting a bit of exercise before heading back home for the night. Lots of families out and about and a few people taking the opportunity to fish and to have a dip in the sea. You don't really see women taking a dip unless you go to one of the private beach areas.

“Lively, busy, a little loud”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

People love to walk and drive at the corniche at night. It gets very busy. There are plenty of cafe's to sit and enjoy your coffee, drink or shisha. Beware of the honking and watch your purse.

“A walk along the corniche a must.”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Whilst on a visit to Beirut a walk along part of the corniche is a must to do. There are many restaurants and cafes along the corniche overlooking the Mediterranean and make a great location for dinner or a drink especially at sunset.
