“Not an attraction but a food & fun street!”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

Bliss Street is an exciting street, and the well-known American University of Beirut is located in the heart of the street. It is an extension of Hamra Street as I see it. I can't consider it as an attraction, but merely a fun street to hang out.

You can find casual restaurants and cafes, serving
- Breakfast (casual cafes)
- Lunch (Bliss House sandwiches - Yummy, very delicious!!)
- Dinner
- After-party (Zaatar w Zeit - All lebanese come here at 2 or 3 or 4am after enjoying a late night out)
- Dessert, donoughts and crepes shops
- Hot dog stands (You should try these!)
- Mcdonalds, Burger King, Subway...
- Argeeleh or Shisha places (Al-Kahwa)
- Internet cafes and mini-markets
- Bookshops, Bank branches, hotels, & motels

It is very crowdy but very fun during the weekends.

“Great Education, Great Food”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

If you are wondering where you could have an excellent education, it's in Bliss street. AUB one of the top universities in Lebanon is located in the middle of Beirut. The class is over and you are hungry, just cross the street and there you will find many restaurants that are ready to serve the best Chicken, Taouk, Burgers, you name it. Come on down to bliss and you feel nothing but BLISS!!

“Great for certain reasons”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

This is the street for teenagers and/or University students. It has some of the best fast food places:

Blisshouse - a true bliss; you can't go wrong with the Philadelphia or Fajita.

Burger king, Hardee's, Domino's Pizza...

Add to that its extreme proximity to Hamra street which has more restaurants, pubs and shops.

The only downside of this street is the extreme traffic it suffers from (it is understandable given that A.U.B. is there & the street is an important link). Advise that you walk it the first time you want to explore.

“whats so special about it?”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

now the streets are filled with uneducated people regardless of the university located by it, which is a shame as AUB is one of the greatest if not the best in the country...

“Very crowded street”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

Bliss street is full of fast food restaurants and is always crowded with students since the American University of Beirut is located there.
The crepe at Tonino's is worth a try!
