it's great to just walk down the corniche and sit down with some coffee/snacks from the street vendors and watch the waves bash against the pigeon rocks. You can go down near the rocks and have donkey rides and candy floss if you like and in the summer a boat goes through the hole which is pretty neat!
Apparently people used to commit suicide off these rocks in the Civil war, not sure how accurate this is though because it isn't THAT big!

Well, they still stand after years and years. So we know Beirut is still Beirut w this precious rocks. Raouche is not anywhere as upscale as it used to and that was sad. Very nice Movenpick hotel and a lebanese restaurant are now there with views to the rocks so that is encouraging.

Beirut seems to be a city trying to find its identity. On the whole its a pretty clean place but parts of it you find rubbish and neglect. This place has a great view and worth a visit but as someone previously said is spoilt by the surroundings. We walked from American Uni of Beirut and its a long walk but worth it when the sun is up.

Go enjoy and then turn back into the city.

Definitely stop and admire the views of the Pigeon rocks - as you're strolling along the Corniche. Locals and visitors alike seem to enjoy it!

The coastline in Beirut are long and beautiful, upon arrived Raouche to see the rock, it's just ok, because, there are construction works all around, it really spoiled its charm and beauty.
Before I arrive,I though this Rock are in a remote area, to my surprise it is just on one corner of the seashore facing many residential building, nevertheless, it's so easy to go and take only couple of minute to drive from center
