These rocks are a symbol of Lebanon, and Beirut! We took a walk from Hamra area to the rocks. It was a great walk along the beach road.

The rocks themselves are unique, and very picturesque! Definitely worth a quick visit!

One of the top sites in beirut, this rock formation just off the coast is quite beautiful. Very picturesque and a nice to see as you stroll down the corniche.

A number of people recommended seeing these sedimentary outcrops close to shore along the Corniche and I can see why. It was a very pleasant stroll along the Cornich and we went in late afternoon on the weekend so there were many people out doing the same. Lots of people of all ages and persuasions taking the time to exercise, see and be seen seem to be the idea.

It is possible to buy food from stall holders along the way including a sandwich or corn on the cob. There are also many restaurants and other eateries for all budgets along the Corniche too. There were people approaching visitors and inviting them to go in a boat through the rocks but we did not take up the offer. We could see a couple of boats down there and no one had a life jacket on.

If you like photography, it is a great location at sunset when the rocks and sky backdrop have amazing changes in colour. Take up a position on the look out barrier opposite the rocks or anywhere else within view for best effect.

...but it was not at it's fullest potential when we visited the site at night. It was not illuminated with lights.

Nice place to stop and make some photos. Nearby there are some people that attracting you to take a boat trip among these rocks. We have lack of time so we missed it.
