This is clearly one of the most luxurious restaurants in Beirut you pay $65 per person for a set dinner menu of cold mezza, hot mezza, main course and desserts with coffee

No Sisha or drinks included in the price nor is service so you can walk out paying 100bucks each basically

And boy they will bring out more food than you can ever eat in 2 dinners

The food is excellent tasting and high quality ingredients too

They have two floors upstairs is more spacious and quite whereas downstairs is more buzzing and loud

So why only three stars I hear you ask ?

Well the food is the same high standard as many other excellent restaurants in Beirut which offer A LA CARTE and exercise portion control so you can actually enjoy your whole meal and not pay for tons of food you can't actually consume - so basically we don't like their business model

Service was well meaning but a little rushed and we barely touched the main courses or desserts even though we were there for hours

Pictures attached

Having visited the Dubai restaurant, was eager to visit the original Beirut place.

Arrived at 3.30 to be told we had already missed last orders (so why do they put 4pm on the website?).

After a bit of pushing, they allowed us to sit and they served the set menu mezze.

Service was prompt and very attentive with food of good quality, although not the best.

Shisha was very good. Deserts were a nice selection.

Decor made a nice surrounding / but no background music and no wifi makes for a bit of a stuffy atmosphere , especially when the place emptied out after 4.

On the expensive side - would not run back to repeat.

Totally worth it. Excellent and attentive service. Food is amazing: all the hot and cold dishes have excellent and unique flavors. The deserts are so good. I would definitely recommend and will visit again when in town. Bravo Em Sharif chefs for an excellent job. You have raised the bar for the other restaurants in Beirut.
