I've been there once and I assure that I won't repeat it. It's not because food tastes bad: on the contrary; food tastes great but the problem is that they keep on putting dishes and removing dishes whereby sometimes you would've eaten just ONE bite from that dish. You don't recognize the main dish and when you are over you ask about it and they tell which it was! I asked the administration about food; if they package left food (which is 90% of what they pass to you)it to poor people such as Syrian refugees in camps or charities... And they said their policy is the throw the food into garbage!!!!
A dinner is around $70 per person which is too high regarding offering that include cheap stuff such as 'mjaddara' or 'adas'....Besides, tables are jammed, so you can follow up the details of conversation of your neighbors and so they can!
I don't recommend this restaurant at all for the reasons above!
Dear Norma,
We thank you for your review, and would like to assure you that all food returning from tables is processed and sent to refugee camps.
We apologies for the erroneous feedback you have been given by the waiter.
Em Sherif is a classy Lebanese restaurant where there is no need for a menu. For around $62 per person excluding drinks you get everything! Mezza main dishes and dessert. there will not be enough place in your stomach to eat everything but it is worth it. Cutlery is all silver, waiters are in black and white, the decor is traditional Lebanese. The food is spectacular and worth the splurge. Definitely a recommended restuarant in Beirut not to be missed.
It serve lebanese cuisine. The food is great and very delicious apetizers and main course were perfectbut its a bit over priced.it cost about 60$ per person
The amount of food they put on the table for the set menu is humongous . You can never finish it all at the risk of your life . The taste is excellent for sure .
BUT
They allow shisha smoking in doors and 99% will be smoking it so if you are feint heart I suggest you stay away as the smell and smog will kill you .
Expensive restaurant by the way .
For all the above I wont go back again .
