If you are in Beirut you MUST visit Em-Sherif restaurant. Very elegant ambiance, excellent service, the food taste like home made, more than 50 type of dishes in a set menu. Remember one thing, you must call for reservations at least 3 days in advance, otherwise no chance at all for walk in customers. This restaurant is a unique experience you will not forget if you like home made Lebanese cuisine.

This is undoubtedly the best Lebanese restaurant in Beirut.
Not only the food is excellent, but the modifications introduced on typical Lebanese plates are simply delicious.
The service is perfect and you enter in a "Feeding Frenzy" that makes your head spin: servers will provide a 30 plates Mezze within 30-60 minutes, in a frenetic ballet. However, you will be able to try everything before it ends.
They will wisper in your ears the name of the dish and some details.
Magnifique.

Be prepared to eat like you have never eaten before. Make sure that you are hungry, and when I mean hungry I mean starving.

As soon as you sit down, a festival of food will begin. From cold appetizers all the way to the deserts, it simply never stops and the food it of top quality.

If you are looking for a calm environment, book at table on the top floor which is smaller and cosier than the ground floor.

Prepare yourself for a food overdose

Visited Em Sherif when I invited some colleagues who were visiting Lebanon

The food is good and the presentation impeccable; however, like all Lebanese restaurants, you end up over ordering and you eat half the food
