I loved everything about this restaurant from the pale blue old building façade located in the Monot area, the tasteful décor, service and lovely food. We went as a family to celebrate my sisters birthday.

The food is a set menu priced at US$40 per person (excluding drinks and shisha). There is plenty of food to go around so you will definitely walk out full. Appetizers included: lentil salad, hummus, mini lahim b3ajin (little meat pizzas), fatoush, mouhamara, balila etc...

Mains included: grills (kafta, shish taouk..) and freike with chicken.

Desserts included moughle which was perfect.

I would recommended going for lunch as it is quiet. In the evening there is a live band playing arabic music.

My wife and I were invited to have lunch at Em Sharief. This was not just another restaurant in Beirut, it was and experience and a trip. The place looks amazing. We were seated on the upper level, which is a roof top the is closed during winter, as the main restaurant downstairs was booked for a private function. This is one place where you don't have to worry about what to order as it is a set menu. The food was plenty and the quality and taste were amazing. Equally amazing was the service and the attention to every small detail. We arrived at around 1:30 in the afternoon and left well past 4:00pm. The starters, the first main course, the daily dish and the dessert were all out of this world. Em Sharif is one place you must experience while you are in Beirut.

The food is really amazing ! Lebanese mezze (entrées/ appetizers) with a fine, oh so fine, twist !
If the money is not an issue, go ahead, I highly recommend the variety this place offers. But, for a fair dinner experience a minimum of US$ 85-90 is needed.
