My stay at Intercontinental Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon started on difficult footing but ended on very pleasant grounds, with an extremely enjoyable stay from January 15 till January 22, 201, which was supposed to have started a few days earlier, but was postponed due to snow storm which had blown through the region, leaving heavy snow accumulation in Lebanon and Jordan. The difficulties involved communication problems and misunderstandings regaring cancelation charges. However, a smooth management handling at Phoenicia hotel rectified the problem and added further benefits to the stay, over and above ambassador upgrade and favorable discounts, breakfast inclusion, a very nice gym with the best equipment possible, and and overall efficient daily service. The restaurants were truley excellent, made only better by beautiful Mediterranean Sea scenery, where breakfast was served and at the Aue de Vie restaurant on the 11th floor. My friends and colleagues who I invited to share breakfast with me were impressed by the variety and quality of the food and service. Intercontinental Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut is a great place to stay and the flexible management is always willing to improvise and cater it to your own needs. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you. Faisal N.
