I am an IHG traveler. I've to plenty of holiday inns across the region and this one was is definitely worth mentioning. I decided to take a room last minute in Beirut, I showed up with out a reservation, no problem. The staff was very accommodating and clearly communicated in english (huge for me, as my arabic is limited). I was in my room in about 15 minutes. They thanked me for my membership with IHG and put me on the executive floor. The room was very cozy, no noise even though i could see the airplanes flying by and construction underway nearby. The mini bar was stocked and the room was equipped with two bottles of drinking water and free nescafe, tea, decaf. One thing to mention about this place is the location and access to shops. First of all, you're in a mall basically. Shops, food, cinema its all here. Casper and Gambini is just downstairs out front. The breakfast is above average for holiday inn. They have a saj for manaeesh made to order, foul (fava bean breakfast dish) croissants of all kinds etc. Another thing I would mention is transportation, taxis are literally waiting outside to take you where ever you need to go. But if you aren't going far, it is within walking distance to a lot of shops. I don't have much to say about being in the hotel itself, which is a good thing as i tend to remember the bad more than the good. The wifi signal was strong which is a must for me. And if you forgot anything and dont feel like venturing out, just ask the front desk, they will have whatever you want delivered to your room. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was that the english news options on tv were limited, and the water in the shower was brackish(salty, par for the course in Beirut) I have to say I was very pleased with the value here. I could have found a more in expensive hotel to stay at, but i feel that the price I paid was worth what i got. I'll be coming back.
