I stayed in Crowne Plaza Hotel for two nights on business trip. The hotel is located in Hamra Street, the liveliest place in Beirut and is full of shops, restaurants, cafes, etc.
The hotel is not a fancy one but offers a reasonable rate for this category of the business hotel.
The room was clean and modern and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had variety of food. The quality of room service was good. The staff was also friendly and professional.
I would definitely come back to this hotel if I have a chance to come back for a business trip and would recommend to all my friends and colleagues who are coming to Beirut for business purpose.

Booked a Captain’s Suite for a couple of days while in Beirut. Things started badly when the airport pick-up service arranged with the hotel in advance was not there when I arrived. After I found someone to contact the hotel they sent the driver after about 10-15 minutes. No apology from the hotel.
Check-in was smooth and they offered an upgrade to an Executive Suite for a little extra which I accepted.
Staff are friendly and helpful and seem genuinely happy that you are visiting their country.
The Exec Suite was a bit of a disappointment – it was really two normal bedrooms with an adjoining door between the two, one of the bedrooms had the bed removed and a sofa put in its place.
Used room service once, which was efficient and reasonably priced. There is plenty of complimentary bottled water in the room, which is replenished daily.
Breakfast had a wide selection of fresh fruits, cereals, breads & pastries as well as the usual hot and cold food (Western & Arabic). The selections seem to change slightly every day, which is nice. Staff attentive and efficient.
Used the Club Lounge a couple of times – during the day there is tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits available. Between 6pm and 9pm there is a nice selection of canapés and free drinks.
There are two PC’s in the lounge and three in the Business Centre but none of them were particularly good (issues connecting to the server, crashing or ‘freezing’ part-way through work etc).
Being situated on Hamra Street, there are plenty of shops in the area as well as cafes and places to eat.
Overall, the location is good, the hotel is fine but there are some things that need improving.

I stayed with my wife for one night , Feb 23rd.
We had a slight problem regarding reservation where ihg central calling centre gave me a wrong Email Address Of Crowne Plaza Beirut to contact.

We came to Beirut on Feb 22 to find that we've no reservation and Prices were up.
I called them at mid night, and they promised to fix it up ASAP early morning.

With Many Thanks to Mrs Desiree Kfoury, Assistant Manager, she did a great job in setting everything next day morning with a upgraded room and a special welcoming arrangements that made our day. Thank You Desiree.

Staff was extra Friendly, and it took us few minutes to Check in. Mr. Nazih, The Concierge guy had a lovely smile painted on his face with a beautiful "Lebanese way" welcoming us.

Cozy well cleaned comfy room, a coffee maker and tea and coffee were available free of charge, beds were extremely comfortable.Breakfast Buffet was superb with delicious plenty of choices . Gym was amazing!

In General, it was a very positive Experience, and for Sure I'll stay there again

Well it's my fifth time back to crown plaza, I love the hotel, however I honestly felt that this time was a bit below their own average.... The hotel itself is located right in the middle of the hustle and bustle in Hamra street, the perfect location, whether you're there for business or pleasure, it truly is the best location especially if its your first time visiting Beirut. The crown plaza has an amazing set of staff, they're welcoming and beyond polite... The rooms are very clean and comfy to be in, although this time the shower head had a couple of problems, but in general their rooms are of very high standards. You can find wifi in all the rooms, but I must admit the wifi access is overpriced, or you can go use the business lounge for free. The breakfast isn't bad, but I do recommend that you find a breakfast place in Hamra street, lots of amazing places around the hotel with amazing food... Definitely will be back for another stay!

Hotels are aplenty in Beirut but this location is excellent.

Getting here: Taxi from Airport. The hotel can arrange for someone to pick you up. I would recommend this as you dont want to arrive and then bargain a price with someone who doesnt speak much english (ok if you speak arabic/french i suppose).

The hotel itself is clean, modern and well done. No complaints. We got a room on the 13th floor facing the sea. When they say sea view - ermm its not what you expect. You will see towers of blocks and small high rises (who have all seen better days) framing the small sea line you see.

Other things to note: No free Wifi. Not a huge deal as most restaurants/cafes in Beirut have internet you just have to ask for password. But disappointed it wasnt included.

Car park - if you rent and drive you have to pay $15 a night for car parking. Expensive?! yes. But driving in Beirut is so manic i would recommend against it all together.

Service - Staff were all great and had good intentions but the service was...average. They were not very helpful when we asked questions in planning our day trips to other sites around Lebanon. They talked amongst themselves and came back with little useful info. I'm comparing the Crowne Plaza to other hotels ive stayed at where they go out of their way to make sure you have all the info you need.

Would I stay here again? Definitely.

Highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in a good location to Hamra street - the rooms are decent (we were fortunate to be upgraded for no charge to a sea view room). The hotel staff were nice and friendly (not always that helpful tho).

The one big negative was lack of free wifi - in this day, I'm surprised someone can charge so much.

Overall, very good and would stay here again if I was back in Beirut!
