I've loved Staybridge and it's location! Really enjoyed the places near the hotel, like Hamra and Verdun..Food was great in the morning, and the gym was really nice..Also the rooftop pool was phenomenal!! It was great and the staff were helpful and welcoming during the whole stay. I can truly call it home away from home.

I spent one night in the hotel and the staff treated me excellent.
One staff member offered me his personal iPhone charger because I forgot mine.
The hotel is brand-new and offers many amenities.
I definitely will stay there again.

My family and I stayed at the Staybridge Suites in West Beirut for four nights in late September 2013. Since the hotel had just opened, we were among the first guests. We stayed in a very spacious two- bedroom apartment on the eighteenth floor. The apartment--we were upgraded to a corner suite--was luxurious with all the amenities. My wife and I particularly enjoyed sitting on our balcony and taking in a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean, West and East Beirut, and the mountains beyond. The highlight of the hotel for my children was the rooftop infinity pool, which upon first viewing elicited from the teenager ‘this is sick’, and from the ten-year-old ‘this is awesome’. When visiting the pool be sure to request cushions for the loungers.

The location of the hotel is quite central, being situated in the Verdun area of West Beirut, about half a kilometre from the hustle and bustle of Hamra Street (5-minute walk) and the American University of Beirut on Bliss Street (another 5 minutes). The hotel does not have a restaurant, which was acceptable to us as we wanted to get out and experience the vibrancy of the city. There is also a small 'pantry' adjacent to the front desk for food and toiletry essentials. Our reservation was also inclusive of breakfast and wifi, services that in my opinion are essential for any hotel trying to attract and retain customers. The breakfast, while not extensive, had a variety of choice, with omelets available on request. The wifi was fast and hassle-free.

Finally, Ihab Kanawati, General Manager, and his staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. They dealt very promptly with any minor maintenance issues that came up, and did everything they could to ensure that our stay was pleasant, including providing answers and recommendations for all manner of questions. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!

Room Tip: Ask for a room many storeys up, facing north, so you'll see the Mediterranean and the rest of West and East Beirut, and up the coast.

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in September, immediately after it opened - so we were the first guests. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. Every single member of staff, both front and back office took time every day to chat, offer suggestions for restaurants, bars and tourist attractions to visit, make reservations for us and generally make sure we had everything that we needed. They are a really fun team - extremely helpful, professional and they clearly care a great deal about the welfare of their guests.

The suites are spacious and comfortable and the kitchen comes in very handy if you are staying longer. We didn’t use it but there are laundry facilities downstairs which you can use for free - and also a decent sized gym with brand new equipment. The rooftop pool is great for chilling out and offers amazing panoramic views of Beirut. The breakfast was included and more impressive/substantial than other hotel breakfasts I have paid big bucks for.…so that was a huge bonus for me. The Wifi was included, available throughout the hotel and fast…very fast. The hotel’s location is great – an easy walk to all the restaurants and coffee shops in Hamra and plenty of taxis passing by if you need one.

I would highly recommend this hotel whether you are visiting Lebanon for business or tourism. From a tourist’s perspective, because Lebanon is relatively small you can do day trips to many sites of interest so this is a great place to base yourself.

We had a great vacation in Lebanon and I can’t recommend Staybridge Suites Beirut enough.
