Stayed in the Cosmopolitan hotel for 5 nights on a business trip. Although not in the centre, it was very convenient for the majority of meetings that I had in the Sin-el-fil, Dora areas, and an easy taxi ride to most places. The room was great - large kingsize bed plus sofa/coffee table area as well as good desk and chair for working, plus tea & coffee making facilities. Great value room plus rate included free internet access and breakfast. Also had access to very well equipped gym, indoor pool and other facilities. Staff on reception desk were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in Beirut.

Unfortunately, I can not share the toughts of other reviews!

This Hotel is in Dekwaneh region. It's a very far and unknown part of Beirut. At night when we were turning back to the hotel, taxi drivers (all of them without exception!!!!!) were aware of this hotel and Dekwaneh region!!!
The pictures of hotel in the website is charming but it's not the way it looks like. First of all we had informed that this hotel was rebuilted/renewed from a sport center!. Sport performers use the available sport/fitness center in hotel and because of that it's always noisy!
Rooms are big enough but not comfortable. Service is medium/poor.
As a result, it looks like a comfortable hotel in website, but it's certainly deceptive!

Dear muratyolsal,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us feedback about your stay in our hotel.

Our team values your feedback and believes that listening to our guests is truly the best way to gauge our performance in order to enhance our level of service. We are sorry to hear that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. The Hotel indeed resides above a sports center offering our guests a wide range of facilities which includes a fully equipped gym, three pools, three tennis courts, a basketball/ volleyball court, dance and fitness facilities. Nonetheless, this does not serve as an excuse for not ensuring that your stay with us was as comfortable as possible. The team has been well informed of your remarks and will look into this matter accordingly.

Thank you once again for providing us with your feedback and for staying at our hotel. We look forward to hosting you once again during your next visit to Lebanon.

Kind regards,

I'm a travel agent specialized in Hotel booking and I usually check the hotels where I host my groups...
I’ve stayed @ the Cosmopolitan last weekend and I can easily say it was a great experience...

The room was just perfect, wide junior suite, comfortable and with an international standard...

The Gym is fully equipped and the pools are just amazing...
Sports lovers, the hotel offers tennis courts, basketball and volleyballs playgrounds...

Front desk team is professional and easy, ensuring you a smooth check in and out...

True, the location isn't central, however it's just perfect for relaxing, enjoying the every day's Beirut - where locals mingle live and enjoy life!!

Close to Shopping centers, malls, and even to Burj hammoud the commercial district of Beirut... and only 10 minutes away from the Airport...

I would definitely recommend this hotel for Solo Travelers, groups, lovers and friends...

Room Tip: Junior suites are the best! ask for those divided with a wall

I stayed 2 nights at this newly renovated hotel, room was almost new, clean and had everything: minibar, coffee & tea making station, LCD TV loaded with channels, comfortable king size bed, sofa and chairs, split AC, and free wifi.....
very smooth check in and out, I tried breakfast one time, some people may not find it limited but I think it was OK, with deferent type of pastries and croissants, cold cut, cheese, omelet, cereal, coffee and tea and more.

The locate is not within the city center and that was not a problem for me (away from downtown heavy trafic), nonetheless it is only minutes away from a big shopping mall and many nice restaurants. and easily

Recommended especially for short business trips.

The Cosmopolitan exceeded my expectations for a hotel in this class. I stayed there for an extended business trip and used the hotel facilities (big conference area) to hold meetings including international conference calls and presentations. Even though there are the mentioned power and internet problems in Lebanon, the staff provided the necessary technical support to run everything as smoothly as possible. Besides this very professional approach, I enjoyed the overall relaxed atmosphere. The room (suite) was very spacious and clean. The sports facilities were far better than at most other hotels of that class. I had the pleasure of playing some nice pick-up basketball games with the locals that use the Club. There is a large pool with a more family crowd and a rooftop pool for adults only. The gym was state of the art. There are also tennis courts available. The breakfast buffet improved greatly over the length of my stay, alternatively there are also some bakeries and restaurants within 5 min. walking distance. Going to down town Beirut was easy and fast by cab. Overall this was a very pleasant experience.
