I had been to Beirut several times but didn’t appreciate what I was seeing or experiencing until my Walk Beirut tour with Ronnie. He is a tremendous teacher, mixing facts with analysis, irreverence with love of his home City and Country and spontaneity with a very thoughtful planned tour. I recommend it whether it is your first or 100th visit to Beirut. My Beiruti host loved it as much as I did. A don’t miss part of any visit to Beirut.

I've had the pleasure of doing the Walk Beirut tour with Ronnie multiple times, and it is my go-to for any time I have first-time visitors to Beirut traveling with me. What I love about Ronnie's tour is how real the whole experience is - it's not some pre-packaged travel book explanation of the sites of Beirut, rather it is a taste of multiple stories: the story of an ancient city full of history and milestones of civilization, the story of a country that suffered a tragic civil war, the story of a community trying to rebuild itself in the face of challenges from at home and abroad, and the story of a young man who has been so personally touched by both the wonder and the tragedy of Beirut that he feels inclined to share the stories of his city with others.

Walk Beirut is the best way to begin to understand that Lebanon is impossible to understand. Beirut is not known as the world's most walkable city, and Ronnie was the first to show people that this can be done, and it can even be enjoyable. Wear comfortable shoes, stick close to Ronnie, and listen to the stories along with all the tips you'll need for feeling at home in Beirut.

It's a great tour for tourists and locals alike, and I can't wait to bring more friends on this amazing experience.

It is a very pleasant walking/informative tour in Beirut. Ronnie is very kind and does a good effort to keep the attention high. However, we found that it has been designed in a way that there is no time to ask questions outside to what he specifically have to say.

Hi Mariam. Appreciate your feedback. We always make time to answer questions during the walk (guests regularly approach us in-between stops, during the break and after the tour). But we try to avoid a Q&A at each stop to keep the storyline and duration intact.

Incredibly interesting walking tour of a fascinating, complicated city. Ronnie is a superb storyteller and his tales of Beirut added so much to our experience of the city. Definitely one of the best walking tours we've ever done.

Lebanese Ronnie Chatah is the son of an assassinated Beirut official, and he passionately incorporates all his knowledge of and passion for his country -- as well as his father's vision for it -- in an engaging historical and cultural narrative (in his American-accented English). This must-do, four-hour walk is not as much much about "tourist sites" as it is about the fabric of Beirut's history, heritage and current affairs. Ronnie probes beneath the surface to reveal and impart the subtleties that are essential to even begin to understand this complex and fascinating land.
