“Great Place to Work or Dine”
Reviewed June 9, 2012

Bread Republic was our go-to spot for working while having an espresso or glass of wine or for a casual, airy dinner. The food was great, the service fantastic (they had no problem with you sitting for hours working) and the environment chill during the day and lively at night. The prices were pretty standard for Beirut. Only complaint was the spotty wifi, but that is a Beirut issue more than a Bread Republic one.

“what a shame!!! Slow service....”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

Horrible experience – the food here is pretty, everything tasted fresh and great flavor, unfortunately it all sums up to nothing because of the extremely bad service. First glass of wine served 10 minutes after first dish – off to a very bad start. All in all a very bad experience that totally overshadows the beautiful food. The place has maybe 20 tables and only 1 waitress was working as well as bussing the tables.
if you are in Hamra go T marboota, there are so many good choices...

“Great Europian bread”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

If you don’t care about calories, this is the place that you should get your bread from; it is the only place in fact in Lebanon that bakes such a variety and quality of bread

“Poor service but great food”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

A good little place to relax over lunch in a central Hamra location. The service isn’t great but the food is good.
