I love this museum! Our tour guide showed us how ancient artifacts were conserved even after Lebanon was going through war and I thought that was the most interesting and honest part of my tour!

What's good in it is that it represents all the cultures of the populations that lived in Lebanon, which are various, and which is the best thing in Lebanon

The museum had some interesting pieces and was beautifully laid out. It set out brilliantly the history of Lebanon and the influences from the various civilisations.

However, I would have liked to see a little more about more recent customs, beliefs and culture. I felt that the museum didn't go far enough.

National Museum of Beirut is a great chance to understand more about Lebanon`s influence along centuries and periods. They provide a variety of artifacts discovered in different places of Lebanon ,from the Ancient Phoenician`s culture to Helenistic & Roman Period and Arabic Influence. My only amend will be that they didn`t have a brochure in English, neither french...only Arabic..so in what language will tourist who don`t speak Arabic will read ? Also the staff that works at the museum is french speaking mainly..very little English.Overall a nice smooth experience..but would be great to expose more things that belong to Lebanese culture.

A "must see" for anyone visiting Beirut!. The museum is not very big but excellent pieces are on display. I was impressed with the efforts took to preserve the pieces during the war.
