Been here on a few occasions but it could do with an upgrade. The animals in behind glass are in small enclosures. They've been there for years, caged in. Sad to see them like this, they have no souls any longer.
The otter tank has been empty for a few years, they were a joy to watch diving through the water at speed but now there's water and no otters. Some other exhibits are empty too, the rodents enclosure smells bad and there are only a couple in it. It's dark and eery in there, no real atmosphere for animals or visitors.
Most days there are school trips here, lots of kids, some are given questionnaires to fill by their teachers, a lot treat the centre as a place to let loose and run riot.
The aquarium is still lovely to watch but I'm sure the mammals could do with a change from their limited surround too.
