What makes this hotel amazing is the staff. Anything you need, even if you express the slightest bit of unease, they assist you and make your trip easy. The cafe is convenient with good food. And there are multiple other restaurants in the hotel. The beds are comfy. The shuttle service is convenient and prompt. The rooms are nice. I slept great every night I was here (which was a lot of nights) never noisy or disturbing. Breakfast buffet is great too! They have a nice gym and exercise classes too. But again, it is the staff that made this a truly special experience.

Holiday Inn Salmiyah is a great deal. The staff pays attention to every detail and is anxious to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast buffet, included in the price, is legendary. Transportation from the airport, also included, is efficient and friendly. The rooms are clean and large. Mine had a lovely view of the sea. The public spaces such as the lobby and cafe, are lively and fun. Little touches, such as the guy serving Arabic coffee and dates, adds greatly to the charm and pleasant demeanor found at this gem of a hotel. The service is superb but not at all stuffy as in much pricier places. You get the distinct impression that they are really trying to make this a great hotel. I'm a hotel snob, but Holiday Inn Salmiyah is the exception to the rule!

An excellent hotel in the center of Kuwait City. Staff speak English and other languages as well as Arabic. Room superb and TV with many channels catering for most European/English needs. Parking free but if driving in Kuwait be warned of speed bumps. These are normally before junctions and roundabouts and are large and unmarked, you have been warned!!

Room Tip: They all seemed excellent. Pool is on the top floor

i stayed here on business for a week and a half, the summary is great food but small rooms. The breakfast buffet is excellent - quality of the food is 5 star, as is the variety, and the staff are always courteous and helpful. The rooms are a different story, at 46 kd per nite you get a very comfortable bed but a very small room, adequate but dated bathroom, and a wardrobe which by design seems unable to open properly so that you have about 12 inches to stick your arm inside and ferret around for your clothes. There is a pool and gym, you can swim laps which is nice although its not more than about 15- 20m in length. Excellent steak house on the ground floor with mainly Filipina staff running the show in cowgirl gear...just as well because there isn't much else to do here at nite, no dancing or alcohol is allowed in Kuwait and you have to watch your behaviour in public...there are stories of people being arrested for hugging in public...

Room Tip: try to stay in the serviced apartments which are bigger, if you are there for over a week...otherwise it gets cramped.

Well located, great food. The airport transfers well organized.
Service good, room service (the only food I tried) very good.
The room was small, and the sea view ridiculously angular. Internet was slow, intermittently.
The cupboard remains a mystery to me - the sliding doors made access restricted and impossible to use fully.
Overall, just average.
