Owner description: Tours by appointment only! The Only House in the World entirely covered with Mirror Mosaic by a single artist! The Mirror House, also called, The Khalifa & Lidia Qattan Art Museum, is the residence of the Pioneer Kuwaiti Artist, Khalifa Qattan, and his wife Lidia, both artists whom have opened their house and art galleries to share their unique art with people from around the world. The artist and creator of the Mirror House, Lidia Qattan, still gives personal tours of her magical house, which is in reality a wonderful journey of exploration.

It is worth to visit the house. Although most living in kuwait might not have seen it but I will say worth a visit.

OK, so you've read some of the reviews on this and thought, 'hmm, not sure'. It's a fair shout. The place is quirky, and Lidia is equally unique. But what she has done over the years is most impressive, and if you get a tour given by her then you'll start off with some excellent tea and a couple of slices of delicious cake. You'll also get to see her late husband's work. Allow 3 hours. You may love it; you might hate it. But you'll leave having seen it for yourself. Whichever side of that fence you fall down on, you'll have reached your view having experienced it. And that is far better than having just listened to some one else.

It was the highlight of my trip! I would recommend it for anyone and everyone, it’s truly unique. You are taken on a tour by the family and everything is explained in great detail!

I went to the House of Mirrors with a friend. When you first arrive, you sit inside and wait. (Do not wear high heels, if you do, bring a pair of slides) Ms. Lydia will walk you around the house. She is all of 4'10"... A lot of art is around... It is everywhere! And interactive as well. I loved my time there.

It was my first visit to the mirror house that I heard so much about. The mirror mosaic starts from the outside of the house and continues all over. This was all done by one artist, Lidia Qattan. The walls, floors, ceiling and bathroom are all cover in mirror mosaics. Lidia, our gracious host began her talk and tour with ginger and cinnamon tea and cake. She took us through the halls of the mirror house, entrance, my world, planet earth, the zodiac, corridor of the nations, shark basin, sea world, the universe, knowledge and the stairs to insperation. The tour is by appointment only and it's closed on Monday. No high heels allowed to protect the fragile mosaic floors. Well worth a visit if you are in Kuwait.
