We redeemed some Marriott Reward points for an Executive Room and paid some money to get an upgrade. We were upgraded to an Executive Suite. It was very good, but the view was bad. Out suite overlooked a graveyard!! Everything else was excellent. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Food at the executive lounge and at the breakfast area in the ground floor was delicious with very good variety. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. However, there was no covered parking area for the cars. They are parked in front of the hotel.

This is one the more expensive hotels in Kuwait City. It's mostly just an ordinary 4 or 5 star business hotel. But, one feature makes it truly awful: smoking is permitted everywhere. Even where there are 'no-smoking' signs, people smoke anyway and the staff do nothing about it.
My room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it stunk of old, stale cigarettes. Awful!
The food was pretty miserable too.

Excellent Building, with marbles and wll designed rooms with clean big bathroom ,very bright and comfortable.
While is an expensive hotel the environment and service by the people there make you feel like a King in your own Kingdom.
Food is great and served by experienced staff.

Room Tip: Try the executive floor to meet the art of service and dining, especially your breakfast

Kuwait City is not the most exciting of places to visit (I was there on business) - but this hotel made the trip pleasurable. While the hotel was a bit on the expensive side for what you get, my room and bathroom was impeccably clean, spacious, bright and comfortable. I ate in the Japanese restaurant and had room service - food was of excellent quality. The breakfast buffet is truly outstanding in terms of the variety and quality.
The service was most definitely JW Marriott standards. It must be a rule that employees must say "Hello" to you whenever they can see you...it almost was overwhelming at times - especially after a 15+ hour flight being greeted by what felt like 10 different people. The front desk/reception staff were great. I also used a car service for appointments which was very efficient and made a stressful day of work easier.
One thing that would be a great addition: Allow customers to book car service/airport transportation online when booking a room--or have an easy to find "Virtual Concierge" webpage. It was very difficult to find an e-mail address for the hotel. (I prefer e-mailing to calling to make these kinds of reservations).
If I return to Kuwait, I will return to this hotel.

I did stay multiple time at this hotel, and i have to say the service is not a 5 star hotel service, there are alot of good elements to the hotel itself but not the service.

Rooms are nice, furniture is old but still functioning.

Food is great, dont hesitate to order room service or try their restaurants, specially the stake house, its the best in Kuwait city.

SERVICE: despite complaining many times about my AC at the room as it was very hot, i had to sleep without any air conditioning for the night, then i wrote to their GM and i got no reply to my email after i had to fight with the staff to give me his direct email!

In another stay, requesting towels was mission impossible @ mid night, operator dont answer the phone and when they did, no one delivered anything for me! and when u want to follow up its impossible to get hold of anyone!

As said, alot of good things on this hotel, but somehow they need to get their service to an acceptable level.

Room Tip: Always high floor to avoid the street noise
