My husband and I happened to stumble across this market while waiting for a tour of the Grand Mosque. What a jewel!! We were the only Americans in sight, but weren't made to feel out of place in any way. Rows and rows of neat finds, jewelry, rugs, scarves, traditional clothing, exotic foods and other goods. We plan to go back again before leaving the city. I couldn't find an address online anywhere, but I can tell you that it is near the underground street crossing, souk sharq, and McDonalds. Actually, the entrance we found was directly across the street from the two story McDonalds. Busy area during commute times, lots of people on and off busses. Watch for traffic, no one is going to slow down for you. Parking is very cheap (250 fils for several hours) in the area but was a little difficult to come by.
