“Compared to bazaars in other cities, this one is not that good”
Review of Tehran Bazaar

Tehran Bazaar
Reviewed April 27, 2014

It is definitely worth to see it, once you are in Tehran, but if you expect oriental bazaar with oriental goods (artwork, craftsmen working, spices, souvenirs, etc.) then you may be disappointed. Although the building complex is impressive, the bazaar is full of chinese stuff... looks cheap and uninteresting, e.g. pots, chinese cups, cheap T-shirts...
This is the worst bazaar in Iran. If you want do shopping for souvernirs or specialities, wait for Isfahan. Isfahan's bazaar is the nicest. Also, Shiraz and Yazd bazaars are better than Tehran's.

If you have ever been in Russia or other CIS countries or Turkey in the '90s don't waste your time on the bazaar. It looks exactly the same as bad quality clothing, houshold, etc markets.

I live in Tehran and Bazar is one the most interesting places for me to go, you see lots of small and big things to buy, the old way of selling stuff, see every thing, just every thing you may need to buy, and also the price is good. The architecture of buildings, alleys and small streets are so much interesting. The good point about bazar is that Bazar is so close to so many other attractions like Golestan Palace, National Museum, National Jewelry Museum, Though, it takes a whole day to visit Bazar.
And by the way, I don't suggest this place for those who hate busy places.
