Stayed 2 nights, some street noise but to be expected in the centre of a 20 million person city, use ear plugs. Room is clean, compact, and all in all a comfortable place to crash after a day of sightseeing. Payment accepted in foreign or local currency, exchange rate was fair. Wi-Fi in the room is weak but fine in the lobby, which has the upside of allowing some interaction with the staff. The staff move this from a 3 star to 4 star experience in my opinion. Amir on Reception is extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to. The Door man noticed my lack of head phones and each time i showed up in the lobby gave me his. The night staff gave me lessons on history and the cultural make up of Iran. I really felt at home there. Staff either flat out refuse to accept tips or only accept to avoid a scene, so no feeling of people being nice just to get the tip at the end of the interaction.

Room tip: Away from front to minimise street noise.

Tabeghani (American embassy) and Ferdowsi metros are about a 5-10 minute walk in opposite directions from this hotel. Its just off the main nejatallah street in a quiet alley. Staff is cooperative, one or two people speak English. Rooms are a little tired, can do with some renovating. It has a coffee shop just behind the reception. Breakfast buffet is pleasant enough - nothing much to write home about- eggs to order, local bread, tea, coffee, some juice. Clean enough. They give you a power bank to charge your phone as they dont have power adapters which is a great option. Foreign credit cards dont work in Iran- carry enough cash and convert in local currency for payment

if you want somewhere to rest and enjoy your time in Tehran do not choose this place.the only good thing I can say about this hotel is it's staff and it's important .
but I didn't spend a peaceful night coz of flies and uncomfortable bed.

Although Hally Hotel is located in the heart of Tehran, you wont feel that much crowd and noise around you. Rooms are clean enough, the size of rooms are average, staffs are well experienced and friendly.

Location: quite convenient, very central but in a quiet alley, 5 min. walking from Ferdowsi sq. However, it's away from the major sights.
Cleanliness: very good.
Wi-fi: works very well in the room.
Rooms condition: deprecable and in urgent need of renovation. The shower overflows the whole bathroom.
Breakfast: extremely basic and tasteless.
Staff: nothing to say, nobody disappointed, but nobody pleased with extra smiles or kindness.
Conclusion: I was forced to book here after the last minute cancellation of another hotel for overbooking. It claims to be a 4 stars hotel but it's 3 (actually 2 if focusing on the bathroom). The single room is worth a 40 EUR rate per night, not a single cent more and definitely not the 125 EUR per night I have paid.
