previously belonging to Sheraton chain, Homa is now a "getting older" glory of the past.
services are there: terrace for dinner, swiming pool, included wi-fi connection, but all is fading. Rooms are big, but once again nothing has probably been changed, not renewed, in the last 20 years ...
very largely overpriced.
Good poit however, its position: relatively central and with activities at foot distance;

A good hotel, conveniently located in the centre of Tehran. Clean rooms, not too fancy, but they have all the necessary amenities - slippers, shower gel, shampoo and stuff. The house keeping is good, rooms are cleaned regularly.
The staff is extremely polite and helpful.
The rooms start from 80 USD a night (better to exchange your money outside the hotel - there is a 3-4 times difference between the official and market exchange rates).
The is a taxi booth in the lobby, ask for Hamid - he speaks fluent English and his full day as a taxi driver and a guide will cost you 70-80 USD.
There is internet connection (wifi), but it is extremely slow. We didn't notice any sites to be blocked.
Overall a good stay, not a five star hotel, but I think can qualify to be a four star.
The breakfast is fine, not too good of a selection for me, but my colleagues were happy

I was a bit worried about this Hotel from the other reviews on the web. But its a great Hotel and great people. It is the former Sherton in Tehran, so it is still got the 70's design from that time. Nice and clean rooms and great loby and reception area! Hotel staff are very nice and want to help you. Only drawback is the breakfast, it is bad for this 4 or 5 star hotel in Tehran. They can do much better. I do not understand why the breakfast is so poor and so poorly served. Maybe because its free for Hotel guests?? Hope they can sort it out soon. Also, Do not have dinner at the roof top resturant, is not nice and expensive; go out and you will get great Food outside.

Stayed there for few days. It is luxury hotel but very very old. Seems like last 40 year there was no renovation at all.
At the same time it is good place to stay. Rooms are ok. Food is excellent.
There is one of several places in Tehran where you can have a lunch during Ramadan.
Location is ok. Prices are reasonable.

We have a good stay in Homa hotel with my wife , my son . All of the staff of hotel were very kind and helpful. The lobby was very large and beautiful. At the evening and night you can listen to playing piano in the lobby. The other important thing was the honesty and safekeeping of the staff of the hotel. I miss my mobile phone on the table beside the elevator that made me realy worry but the next morning they found it and gave it to me.
The quality of the meal of the restaurant was great.

Be aware. Stay far from this hotel. Very old structure, it was Sheraton in the past, probably 40 years old.
I've been many times for business in this hotel, but this has been the last one.
People is not polite at all, especially at the check out there are always discussion.Credit card not accepted, but this is normal in Iran.
Last time I checket in at 8 am and checked out at 12pm of the same day and I've been obliged to pay for two night even if I stay only 16 hours. It's really boring and there is no way to discuss with them (i spent for 16 hours € 305,00!!!!!!!!)
the two restaurant (the one called fusion you can access from hotel lounge, the second is outside) are acceptable. At fusion you can have dinner a la cart, and the second it's a mixture between buffet and menu. food is on the average, prices quite high (for Iran).
Rooms are poors. Bathroom is really old style. last time shower was also broken.
There is wifi for free but a lot of website are not accessible (this is not of course an hotel problem).
Next time for sure i will try something else. not sure to improve. Tehran is not an example of hotel hosptiality but at least i wnat to try.
