It is sad that for a country like Iran with such a long history, its national museum is in such a poor condition. The exhibits are poorly planned and located, and there is no guidance. The odd thing about the place is with no painting there and mostly statues, you are not allowed to take photos..why the hell not.. noone could tell me. I took pictures in Louvre, at the British museum, but not here. You are not even allowed cameras inside.

But it is still worth a visit.

its one of my favorite museums, as i can find always interesting pieces in there, like a tweezer belong to thousands of years ago.these small pieces shows how people were interested in their own looks, not just decorative pieces, also so many industrial inventions. and among all these u can see how history is changing from time to time. if you went to here , dont forget abgineh(glass) museum near by.

There are some beautiful artifacts and ornaments dating back good few centuries..Its relaxing and not so busy since Iran does attract too many tourists coz of all the Islamic limitations.
