Let say it's a modern Ali baba's cave. It's safe house that contains all of the corwn jewels (not replica) of Iran (Persia) from the Qajar to the Pahlavi period. You will witness the richness of the Iranian imperial families in just one chamber.

Absolutely exquisite! By far the most luxurious and wondrous things I've set my eye on. Hard to imagine this kind of wealth and beauty.

Highly recommend.

A most impressive and unique exhibition of historic jewelry. Probably the only one of its kind in the whole of the Middle East. Well worth seeing.

An incredible experience to view the astonishing royal jewelry treasures held at the vault of the Iranian Central Bank opened to the public only limited number of days and hours during the week under heavy guard and surveillance. It’s a must visit while in Tehran. The collection is housed at The Treasury of National Jewels. It is situated inside the Central Bank of Iran on Tehran's Ferdowsi Avenue. The museum is open to the public from 14:00 to 16:30 hrs except on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Iranian National Jewels include elaborate crowns, thirty tiaras, bejeweled swords and shields, a number of unset precious gems, numerous plates and other dining services cast and several other more unusual items. Some of the key highlights are:

The Pahlavi crown
It was used by Mohammad Reza shah, the crown is, by all means, incredible, the crown weighs more than 2 kg, it has about 3,380 diamond pieces. When the Pahlavis overthrew the Qajar dynasty, Reza Shah refused to use crowns that belonged to the Qajar kings and ordered a whole new crown for him.

The bejeweled globe
By far the most majestic item in the whole museum.
The globe weighs about 40kg; there is about 34kg of pure gold and more than 48,000 pieces of precious stones and jewels that weigh about 6kg.

The land areas are represented in red which are covered in rubies and the oceans and rivers are represented in blue by emeralds. Iran is also represented in diamonds. The reason Naser Din Shah ordered this globe to be made is to make sure the royal jewels don’t get lost or stolen. Imagine how hard it must have been to count about 50,000 pieces of jewels every day, the globe took about 5 years to make and was fully made by Iranian artists.

The Daryl-he-Noor diamond
Darya-ye-Noor which means “Sea of light” in Persian is one of the largest cut diamonds in the world, weighing an estimated 182 carats. Its colour, pale pink, is one of the rarest to be found in diamonds. The Daria-i-Noor is in the Iranian Crown Jewels of Central Bank of Iran in Tehran.

The Peacock Throne
The height of the throne is approximately 225 cm. Among the 26,733 jewels covering the throne, there are four very large spinels on the backrest, the largest of which is 65 cts.; there are also four very large emeralds on the backrest too, the largest of which is approximately 225 cts. The largest ruby on the throne is 35 cts.

Nader Shah’s shield
It was used during Nader’s battle in India, it is made of rhinoceros skin. Later on, in his honor after the war the shield was designed with precious gems and stones like rubies, emeralds and diamonds.
