Review of Milad Tower

Milad Tower
Reviewed July 6, 2012

A lot of festivals are arranged in the surroundings of the tower and you will enjoy the view of The Tehran city. Consider visiting around sunset so you can have a nice view of the city.

If you want to have a super view of Tehran, this modern tower is the right place. Labelled the 6th tallest building in the worls, it sits on top of a hill, surrounded by still unfinished (like everyting in Tehran) roads and constructions. Still, the place is nice, lots of people, and a souvenir shop where I could buy items at the official exchange rate, which means I saved basically 40% when compared to the street exchange rate to the dollar. Depending from where you are in Tehran, it is wroth a visit to get a great look (assuming the haze allows it) on the town. But if you are in one of the main hotels downtown, note that it'll take an hour to reach.

Milad Tower displays a work of modern architecture and stands out as the new grand edifice of Tehran and Iran. It is worth a short visit including an art gallery and the magnificent view from the observation deck at 280m height. The size of Tehran is amazing and you can grasp it from this height. Besides the top floors with cafe/restaurant/gallery (closed during the visit), there is a souvenir shop and a restaurant at the base floor. The personnel were helpful and introduced us to the building.

The place is very luxury and the views of the whole city are wonderful, but depends on pollution if you can see more or less of the city. I also went at night and in my own opinion the experience was much better.
