“Need renovation”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

I stayed at this hotel when I was traveling to Bahrain for business. Hotel is well located so moving around is very easy. There are enough restaurants in the area so avoid eating at Hotel restaurant. Restaurant in hotel is lousy and food is bad. They are leveraging on the name of Ramada but they are not even close to any other hotels that are named Ramada. Appreciate if they can renovate their rooms a bit. Forfeiture, Elevator and room curtains all stinks. It seems they have not done anything since the hotel was built.

Location is good, Near to some famous places & restaurants.
Hotel breakfast was just OK.

No hand shower in bathroom. No lock in bathroom. Uncomfortable furniture, Small room & Bad view. Poor internet coverage

No value for money. Not recommended.

This hotel is old, tired and in bad need of revamp. My room overlooked an all season football pitch where the locals played football until the late hours and you can't play football quietly. There was also a cockerel somewhere near buy that would go off every couple of minutes all night and the noise from traffic was just to ad insult to injury. The whole hotel is dark and seedy and in a seedy area of Bahrain. Avoid this hotel if at all possible. Seemed like the worst hotel that I saw whilst there on business.

Booked this hotel by accident as we did not realize there were 2 Ramada's close to the palace. This one is noisy and could use upgrading but otherwise a decent hotel when you are not looking for overpriced or luxury hotels in Bahrain. The area is not the greatest but it does have character and love the fact that you can grab shawarma and rotisserie chicken right outside. Great for late night munchies especially after enjoying a night out at the Ramada's nightclub. Twisters was a lot of fun! You might as well stay up late since you will hear the disco in your room plus you can hear all the street noise. Honking horns constant and continue around the clock. The hotel is conveniently located to Adliya where you will find lots of options for dining. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Mini bar in the room is a bargain for Bahrain! We would stay here again if in a party mood!

First the positive aspects:
1. the staff is friendly and helpful
2. the room was always very clean.

But that's all about it. Now to the disappointing facts:
1. We had booked as a family a family room and received another (smaller) room and we payed the same price.
2. This room was a smoker room. Change, not possible.
3. The location of the hotel is a bit difficult. It is crowded and commercial oriented.
4. From the commercial street you will always hear the horns of jammed traffic.
5. The access to the hotel by car, through the narrow and crowded street is difficult.
6. Once you arrived safely the hotel courtyard, it can be, in particular in the evening, that there is no parking for you. The area for parking is very limited and all the party guest and hotel guest have to share the same limited space. This is a problem.
7. Each evening there is a party or the disco in the hotel is very loud. Till late in the morning you can 'enjoy' the beats...in your bed.
8. Because of the nightlife and different parties the location is not suitable for families.

Conclusion: We have not stayed in the booked room, but payed the same price. The hotel is a bit old, definitely clean but not family friendly. I would not recommend this hotel for a stay in Manama. There are definitely better opportunities.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms directed to the street.

Booked to this hotel, because it had a swimming pool, but it is under refurbishment until Jan 2014. The fitness centre is also not very good, with the only static bike in not great conditions and no one around to hand out towels - The breakfast wasn't particularly great either, with not a great choice for cereals or pastries
