I loved the authentic atmoshpere of the bab el bahrain souk. You can find the best tailors for good prices, nice fabrics, great indian food etc etc etc :)

Ali Baba and the forty thieves must have passed by the old Bab Al Bahrain gold market. It's such and interesting place because it has retained it's old world charm. A lot of the shops are still made of old lime stone and the streets are very narrow maybe because the mode of transport in the olden days were donkeys and horses. There are also many Indian shops selling to,d and clothing materials in various colors.

Different from others souks that I know! Narrow streets with a lot of different kind of shops with all kinds of arabic items: perfumes, scarfs, shawls, abbays, kandooras, jewellery and gold! The same kind of normal arabic negotiation! They built a modern building as a new souk that is very nice and is a tourist point to visit!
