“Small but well organised & informative”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2014

The museum on the small side which means you can get around the different sections fairly quickly. I loved the area depicting the different trades & businesses of old Bahrain as well as the room showing what traditional family life was like. I found the 'graves' section intriguing.

Even if you're visiting Bahrain for a weekend, it won't take long to reach and wander around this place. Highly recommend if you want to see what the Bahraini culture used to be like before it became modernised as it stands today.

“Best place to Experience Bahrian History”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2014

The National Museum is outstanding. It offers a great view into the history of the country and has rotating art exhibits. The highlight is the giant map of Bahrain on the floor that is linked to informative panels on the walls that explain the sights. The map allows you to see where the sights actually are for later exploration in person.

“Bahrain before modernization”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014

The entire architect is very beautiful.Lot of things to see and understand. It brings back to an era how bahrain was before modernization. How people leave and what the culture was long ago.Its a great place for the kids as well. The Art gallery is also very nice. You can hang around the place for the whole day and yet it would be interesting.

“Good however pretty less attractions”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014

The entry fees for an adult is 1 BD and for children it's free.

It's for sure worth for somebody who are interested to know the history of Bahrain. At least kids would love to see those beautiful mannequins staged at every part of the musuem with nicely decorated traditional clothes.

Compared to the ground floor, I personally liked the first floor where there is a replica of a market. even though the attractions are less they have been carefully chosen such as the painting gallery at the right side of the museum.

Overall recommended for family but it finishes off so quick. May be after seeing the Riyadh national museum I was expecting more
