Ramada Hotel Bahrain
Ranked #31 of 136 Hotels in Manama

The front desk immediately gave me a better rate than I had booked at, which I thought was excellent. I was given two free wi-fi tickets as I had two computers with me, which again I thought was excellent. The front desk also contacted me five minutes after check in to see if my room was okay, which is indeed excellent service. The rate I paid was extremely competitive for Bahrain.

The location was perfect for me, being near Juffair, the city, JJ's pub and my customers.

There are more modern hotels in Bahrain, but this is a great find, with good rooms, good service, good prices, and a decent bar.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back are quieter, but all okay.

I have been using Ramada, Bahrain for a few years now, during which time, i have seen the rooms refurbished.
From reception, to Housekeeping, and the restaurants, the staff are so attentive to your needs!!

I enjoy the Buffet Breakfast, which offers a good variety for all tastes.

The Exchange, offers a British style Pub/Lounge, with a wide variety of drinks, Bar food, and live music. There is a Pool Table, and Darts Board.
Having said that...the Exchange caters for all nationalities, and has a wide selaection of beers ...some good German Beers!!!
The staff are there to welcome you, and provide good service throughout your visit to the Exchange.
The food in this outlet reminds me of good Pub Food in the UK. I really enjoy my times there.
If I were to criticise the place at all... they can be slow to bring the Bill.....but would a Scotsman like me complain about that??????

The rooms are well equipped, and includes a free WIFI service, Mini Bar, Aircon...really everything you require for a good stay, at reasonable prices, compared to the five star alternatives.

The hotel also provides an Airport Transfer Service, which i find very useful, and vwery efficient...they are always there, when you have informed them of your flight details!!!

If you are travelling to Bahrain...this is one to consider.

Room Tip: I have never had a room that I was unhappy with at this hotel.

Got a good rate so decided to stay here for leisure purposes. Someone else done the booking. Location is near the Grand Mosque. Arrival procedures were very good, very polite, respectful and efficient. Foyer was immaculate.

Rooms were spacious, immaculately clean (as was the bathroom), everything was functional and well equipped. There was a mini-bar, fruit plate on arrival and a great view of the Grand Mosque. Room service was quick, efficient and accurate. TV was small LCD TV type with a variety of channels in different languages. Shower pressure and temperature were both high enough and not underpowered, but its a question of personal taste.

Departure was as good as check in. I would stay at this hotel again at the rate we payed. I found it to be very good value.

I stayed in this hotel back in March with a large group of my family who had travelled over from the UK to celebrate my Mothers wedding. Whilst I agree with some of the comments that the hotel is looking a little tired in some places I think that once you look past the decor the hotel is amazing. The pool area is on the smaller side however it is relaxed and comfortable and the staff are more than attentive. The breakfast buffet is great and on a whole the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained.
In fact I liked the place so much that I am going back for a week in July.

So if your looking for 5 star luxury then agreed this isnt the place. But if your looking for somewhere friendly and relaxed with great staff and comfortable rooms then this is certainly the place to book.

Room Tip: Book a room at the front of the hotel as there is a great view of the palace!

I have visited this hotel many times over the last four years. Living in Saudi Arabia a trip to Bahrain is seen as a 'rest bite' and a bit of normality; with entertainment and alcohol! The Ramada is conveniently located and easy to find; very close to the Gulf Hotel and the opposite the Royal Palace.
Bahrain has not yet banned smoking from public places so if like me you are a non-smoker ensure you reserve a no smoking room. The rooms are well equipped with free wifi, tea/coffee making facilities, 1.5L of complimentary water each day and when I last visited (13-16 June) they had a promotion on where when you check-in a complimentary bottle of beer is sent to your room and you receive a 2-for-1 voucher to use in the bar.
The bar (Exchange) is pleasant with a full list of drinks and cocktails and after 9pm each evening there is the resident Filipino band playing (except when major sporting events are on and then they play in between games, such as Euro 2012).
The gym is basic and requires maintenance as both the running and cycle machines were unserviceable when I stayed recently. There is a nice pool area with sun loungers which always have fresh towels on them. Breakfast is served in the hotel's one restaurant and has a good choice including eggs on demand. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good hotel on a budget.

Room Tip: Try and secure a room opposite the Royal Palace the view is excellent!
