Al Dana Resort Bahrain is located between downtown Manama and the Airport area, a convenient Location on a small peninsula adjacent to the Bahrain museum, with own beach and close connection to both downtown/Airport by taxi. The beach is not really a beach with waves etc. it is very quite water and the size of the beach area is also quite limited.
The Resort itself has been built in arabian style, different buildings, nice architecture. huge rooms with tiles on the floor and efficient air conditioning systems. You can walk through the different buildings, nice floors, nice doors and detailed decoration.
Great pool area, 2 restaurants offering buffet food and a bar, breakfast is offered in one of the Restaurants, it is quite ok, but no the most exciting experience.
The staff was very friendly and committed, but was not always really able to handle the Systems, once they charged in Euro (what I did not confirm), once they charged in Dinar. Also front desk Access is a bit difficult by handling luggage due to the stairs to the outside.
I stayed for Business, but this place is more the Location for Family fun hollidays, means loud popmusic in the pool area in the afternoon and very busy early night.
Nevertheless I enjoyed the stay here, for 1 night before flying out room rates are expensive, maybe there are better deals for longer stays available.More
