I went with my family for an extended weekend. Hotel has everything what luxury is about. Very nice rooms, luxuries bathrooms, but a very complicated and not always working TV system.
The spa is nice, seaside not that clean (i mean the water) the day we were there, there was a lot sea-wheat (Algy) in the water which made the swimming experience a bit uncomfortable. Apart from all the positive things which are a lot, it would be good if the hotel would look a bit more about the guest services. Apart from no chocolate and fruit baskets in the room, strange telephone calls in early morning from the concierge woke us up which no proper explanation and apology. No butter at breakfast buffet, after requesting we were told "sorry no butter today??" when asking again it turned out that the butter is kept in the fridge beneath the buffet and had to be ordered. Coffee was not served unless several times requesting it during breakfast. Its a petty, it could have been a much nicer experience if only a little more attention is given to the guest services !!!!

Room Tip: The connecting rooms are excellent. The rooms are connected not through a door within the room, they...

I would like to thank this hotel for being pefect in their landscape, rooms, restaurnants and every thing.

I have heared that they has a problem in waiting long time at reception, I went at eid time (peak), but did not face this problem, i was standing on the que, one person only before me, another receptionist from the back office Mohd Al Khuzaie came and assisted us in speedy time, he also arranged for our check out in a very professional way.

Rooms are very nice huge, facing the sea (all the rooms), you have shower and tap, soaps shampoo's smells marvelous.

My only two comments are that food's taste needs improvement, we went to have dinner in the arabic restaurant, at eid there was (thereed and Hareesa), those are arabic main courses that we usually eat in Ramadhan, so we do not expect to have it at Eid Buffet.

In addition, we asked for extra blankets, they said that it finished.

Overall, it is an excellent hotel, love to go back.

Hotel is pretty nice and location is relaxing -
I dont like the fact how the hotel does NOT offer any welcome chocolate or fruit basket in the room and when I complained about it, they told me no we do not do it and thanks - they did not even say no we do not do it but will send you one.
hotel is way overpriced

Went for a week-end get-a-way and tried out this new hotel. Here are my thoughts:
Room: luxurious room, tile floors with rug, huge balcony with lounge furniture, desk, lots of lighting, satellite tv (very hard to work the remote).
Bathroom: walk in shower, big bathtub, separated toilet and bidet. L'occitane toiletries.
Dining: lots of choices and the food is great qualtiy. Prices are high, and cost more than high-end restaurants in town. Breakfast (buffett)is included with hotel stay.
Hotel common areas: lobby is beautiful, and architecture is classic arab style. The lobby has lots of semi private rooms for tea. Nicest lobby in any hotel in Manama. For smoking, the hotel put up a tent just outside the lobby, so it spoils the view of the grounds. Wish the tent was on the side of the hotel. The hotel is huge and is layed out nicely.
Pool and beach: private beach with manmade island that helps break waves. Pool is huge and is as big as any others in Manama. Swim in bar and cafe in middle of the pool. A small dock area is still under construction, so guessing boat rentals will be coming soon. Kiddie splash area was under construction and was told will be ready in November. Strange that the splash area is situated far from the main pool.
Location: 20 minute drive to Seef area, and two minutes from the Bahrain International Circuit.
Really nice place to relax if you dont want to drive anywhere more than 5 minutes away (water park, race course, wildlife park). From the front, the place looks like a military installation, but the opposite side is all balcony view rooms. The cement wall on the non-see view side is to keep the sun from heating up the hotel interior.
Staff: all friendly, even at the front desk.
Parking: free and covered parking available for free.
Hotel cost: pricey and is in same class as the Ritz and Gulf Hotel.
Wishes: no indoor pool (for winter), hot tub is very small and not hot at all, more promotions on snacks, dining options at the hotel because there are no periodicals, adds or other information in the rooms.
I didnt use the excersize equipment, but looks well appointed within a building overlooking the ocean.

Room Tip: All rooms are ocean view, and try to get a room on the ground floor so you can walk to the pool dire...

We went to Iftar it took a while to get a glass of water, then we ordered more water and it took them 10min and after asking for it 3 times.. Food was ok I expected better food quality. And another thing it took them another 10-20min just to serve tea and when they did it was cold so it took them another 5-10min to get another pot we wanted to see the rooms but after the service we got we changed our mind.
