This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Bahrain .The food ingridients are well refined unlike other Indian restaurants . The atmosphere is very nice with a nice authentic Indian band Never miss it!

tried it about 4 times, out of love of Indian food. last night was the last, Ever. Service is almost the worst among all of the Ritz-Carlton hotel restaurants. way over-priced for medium food. the cue was that there were not a single Indian native eating there. this indicative of the food quality.

When you enter the restaurant it gives you a feel of being in India. The decor, smell and the wonderful staff gives you a really nice experience when you indulge yourself in all the nice authentic dishes which is served together with freshly baked bread.
It is an expensive restaurant but it is well worth it on a special occasion.
I can really recommend this place to lovers of Indian food and also to others who like a special experience.

Somehow all or most of the Indian fine dining restaurants on the island tend to go rather heavy on the Raj era decor. It makes the place slightly more opressive and claustrophobic, given that this is a smallish restaurant anyways.

The food is great though. I would especially recommend the kabab platter (enough for 2-3 people) as starters and then the mains. True, choices are limited, but whatever they do, they do well. I would also recommend the dal makhani and the lamb chaaap.

Service is ok, and like another reviewer noted, they do tend to rush you, even though the 3-4 times we went the restaurant was significantly empty. I couldn't help getting a rather cold vibe all the times that we went to the place, which leads me to think that the staff are either snooty or maybe its to go with teh hauteur of the place.

Oh, and they use the standard trick of giving you the most expensive water. They just automatically opened it and poured it out even without letting you know of other options. So we landed up paying about 3.2 BD (10 $???) the first time for about 600 ml of water. The next time I was rather a little firm, and as a result, we got about 1.2 lt for about 6$.

A meal for 2 without drinks would easily cost about 30BD minimum.

All said and done, I would probably go back for the food itself.
