“good food,”

Service was perfect, food lovely though we ordered too much as portions were larger than in England. Serves beer. Not a very attractive dining room

“Good Service...OK food”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Located in the Restaurant District near the Gulf Hotel, Beijing is a perfectly serviceable Chinese (Generic East Asian) restaurant. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. The setting is clean and comfortable.

The food, while nothing that would garner fans in Hong Kong or Vancouver, is fine. It is mostly Chinese, with considerable SouthEast Asian influence. So I had the Tom Yong (lemongrass) soup, which had a nice kick to it. The noodle dishes came out fresh and hot. If there was a common reaction it was that all the dishes were on the salty side and I had a degree of MSG-reaction (not too bad, but it was clearly present.) There was a very nice desert of ice cream over fried bananas that was a great topper to the meal.

On the other hand, they had a nice selection of beer and other drinks, which is not always the case in Bahrain!

The prices were very reasonable for the area! So, when you are tired of Shawarma and Kabobs, this is worth keeping in mind!

“Good Service”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

It has moved to another street actually and you could just walk over there. The restaurant is in catchy red. The ambience is very china, especially with the mandarin songs playing. Menu is attractive. Helpful and pleasant waitresses in guiding the ordering. She even assured me that the cook would use another method of cooking that was palatable to the asian taste bud. Overall, the food is averagely good and price is reasonable.

“They are still here!”

So they burnt down in the previous place, great to see them back just one block behind original place in Adaliya, this restaurant serves the best Irish coffee in town. We popped in just for these, no food required!
