well was lucky to get through, was initilly stayng in an apartment a lilttle ouside the city for work (as there were no gd. hotels around.),
Just happen to visit nearvy this area and check online for the previews, while doing the same i got a god deal from the hotel website directly called (weeked promotions) and reserved the room.

Was nice to enter the hotel as the lobby seemes to be be lively, as the resturant, coffee shop, and bakery shop were on gr. level spaciously placed.

After check inn loved the room on entering the same, the interirs ere nice with 3 coninual painting very well placed on 2 side walls.
bed was king size, washroom-nice-clean-big

room was equipped with sony bravia 32'' lcd, high speed wire less internet, a well equipped Mini Bar/wafers etc.

the room was reall spacious with furniture just matching my taste for hotel room.
this is the premium room ( i guess they do not have any std. rooms---not sure)

well breakfast was not in my package, as i had early morning meetings, so not sure about food, but evertyhing else inclduing service and response was pretty much perfect.
they do have a spa and various spa services, however i hve not used either of them so no comments.

if in Riyadh, would definately love to stay back.

For business it's a great location, however that's were the compliments end. Dated hotel, with dated basic rooms, and average service. Currently large scale construction next to the hotel that I suspect will last another six months

Located close to the freeway, Al Mena is in the Olay'a part of Riyadh - close to the Faisaliyah Mall and the famed 'Shola Shopping' area known for deals in Computer and related hardware as well as cheap Indian restaurants - Masala Dosa + Pepsi for 5SAR!
Large, comfortable rooms.
While the inhouse Cafe is excellent with the 4in1 menu - Cafe, Pastries, IceCream, & Mocktails (boy do the locals have sweet 'teeth'!), Costa Cofee and the like are a short walk of 5SAR away by taxi near Faisaliyah Mall.
Pizza Hut has a takeaway close by. The lobby staff (Philipino, Nepali, Bangladeshi) is extremely friendly & helpful
Pay no more than 70SAR for a trip from/to the airport in the 'limousine taxi' (euphemism for metered cab) - if you don't care for a formal receipt, there will be several guys in private taxis willing to make the trp for 50SAR.
While the Gymn is basic but equipped with the right machines, the 'Swimming Pool' is a hoot - more like an oversized bath-tub!

This hotel is adjacent to two construction sites. The noise starts at five in the morning, so if you are looking for a goodnight sleep, forget it. Service in the lobby was below average. Rooms were good and clean, breakfast was good. We had given a credit card number through booking.com which they charged one day before our scheduled departure. Thank god the hotel manager offered us a glass of orange juice to compensate us. (Did I mention the juice was fresh?).
ADVICE: Wait for two or three years. The constructions will be probably finished by then

As far as the hotel setup and location is concerned it's the best in Riyadh for any business visitor....but if you are counting on getting a descent service think again. From leaking bathrooms to mattresses with fleas all the way to cancelling your reservation without prior notice due to over booking makes this hotel a serious NO NO. For sure one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel.
